Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

Does he have any allergies? Has he had hives before?
sometimes hives can be associated with a viral infection.

Does he have nasal congestion, cough ?

If the Benadryl is helpful and he has no swelling of lips or tongue, is not having difficulty breathing , no wheezing, with normal skin color, I feel that you can safely continue to treat him at home.

Should any of these symptoms appear, then he needs to see his doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
